From the above figure it's evident that the first half of the blueprint forms the foundational phase of product development, while the remaining half - the executional phase. Too often product teams rush into the execution phase without spending much time working on the foundation. That's where the role of the PM is especially critical - understanding the market, knowing the business and bringing the relevant people together.
